The lowest levels of growth in a forest are called the understory: the plants that must grow the fastest when light becomes prevalent in order to establish themselves before the canopy closes up overhead. The patterns in this collection are inspired by the plants and animals that populate the understory as it fills in after the spring rains. Simple stitches combine to form beautifully complex accessories for April’s showers.

Understory includes the following six patterns: Amanita Muscaria, Laetiporus, Lichen Beret, Light and Shade, Verdure, and Woodpigeon Mitts. Each can be purchased separately.
